varieties in Alberta are Velvetleaf blueberry (Vaccinium myrtilloides), Dwarf blueberry (Vaccinium caespitosum), Bog blueberry (Vaccinium uliginosum) and Oval-leaf blueberry (Vaccinium ovalifolium).
grows in both wooded and open moist areas.
